New resort degree proves a popular choice

New Resort Degree William Angliss

More than 50 students have commenced studying at William Angliss Institute enrolled in the new Bachelor of Resort and Hotel Management in 2017.

Seven of these students are continuing on from their time at the Angliss International Hotel School, having achieved the Diploma of Hospitality. After completing the Diploma, these students qualified for guaranteed entry into the second year of all Bachelor degree programs at the Institute.

The degree course was developed in close consultation with industry and will provide graduates with a strong foundation for a long-term career in the field.

For commencing students, the new course takes three years of full-time study and is designed to equip graduates with the ability to lead and manage business operations and find innovative solutions to complex issues in the dynamic hotel and resort industries.

The first year of study for the Bachelor of Resort and Hotel Management focuses on the operations of hotels and resorts, while second year gives students management skills to effectively run a property with the third year challenging students to lead innovation in the industry.
