Fire destroys 150-year-old Vic pub

A 150-YEAR-OLD Victorian pub has been partially destroyed by fire.

THE upper-level of the building was well alight when crews arrived at the Heritage Country Club Hotel in Yea, 98km north east of Melbourne early on Monday.

There was no one in the building when the fire started and it took several hours to bring it under control, a CFA spokeswoman told AAP.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.
