We did it! $10,000 raised for Beyond Blue through our Biggest Burger Challenge.
On the day of the Burger Build we had raised $2720.00 and had been set a target to build a 2720mm Burger for Beyond Blue Charity. Though we only had room with a 2800mm ceiling, we decided that the sky is the limit, or in this case the ceiling. So with the help of Curtis and David, our QLD team built a 2.8 metre burger to meet and indeed beat the challenge. Using the Taylor Clam Shell Grills that cooks Burgers up to 5 times faster than standard grills, we could smash out the 16kg of beef patties to build this monster pretty quickly with just two people. Though the burger stopped at 2.8 metres on the day, within the week the donations kept coming in and in the end we raised exactly $10,000 for Beyond Blue to help those struggling in these testing times with Mental Health Issues. |
