Multi-award winning Atura Blacktown Hotel reaffirmed its position as Australia’s best-in-class at the Hotel Management (HM) Awards held at Sydney’s Town Hall on Friday night.

The prestigious HM Awards celebrate exceptional achievement and innovation within the accommodation industry across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

The Western Sydney Atura Hotels property was awarded ‘Australia’s Best Mid-Scale Hotel’ while staff members Andrea Donaghy and Felicity Evans were awarded ‘Best Front Office Associate’ and ‘Best Food and Beverage Associate’ respectively.

These wins cement Atura Blacktown’s position as a leading light in Australia’s mid-market accommodation sphere.  Less than a year after opening, it was awarded ‘Best Mid-Range Accommodation Australia’ at the 2014 Australian Hotel Association Awards, best ‘Mid-Range Hotel Accommodation’ at the 2014 Tourism

Accommodation Awards (NSW) Awards for Excellence and Best Standard Accommodation at the 2014 Tourism NSW Awards.

"We are delighted at the recognition this achievement brings for the Atura Hotel brand and for tourism in Western Sydney,” said David Seargeant AHL Group Managing Director.

“Achieving these accolades only serves to reaffirm our commitment to the region which includes the significant renovation planned for Rydges Parramatta.”

“Atura Blacktown’s award wins cap off an exciting week for tourism in Western Sydney on the back today’s announcement of the new Sydney Zoo project planned for the Western Sydney Parklands at Bungaribee by the Honorable Mark Speakman, Minister for the Environment and Heritage,” Mr Seargeant said.

AHL’s success at the 2015 HM Awards was not limited to their Atura Hotels brand with the company’s luxe, designer QT Hotels  & Resorts brand receiving three accolades including Best Hotel Interior Design for QT Sydney, Best Hotel Bar (Gowings Bar at  QT Sydney) and Best Hotel Brand.

Urban, industrial and design-inspired, Atura Blacktown was conceptualised by the renowned collaborators behind the QT Hotels and Resorts brand including interior designer Nic Graham, costume designer Janet Hine and stylist Anna Roberts.  The creative force behind the property’s striking building and exterior design was architect Peter Israel.
