New Vibe Hotel North Sydney CBD opening early 2017

North Sydney CBD will get a much-needed accommodation boost in 2017 with the opening of a new, 188-room Vibe Hotel North Sydney.

Constructed as part of the Northpoint Tower redevelopment, the North Sydney property will effectively replace the current Vibe North Sydney, Milsons Point hotel which closes on March 31.

Guestrooms will adopt “modern and stylish finishes”, while the hotel’s public lounge and bar areas will have both AC and USB power outlets scattered thoroughly to make way for a sneaky phone charge during dinner or a more involved work session on a laptop.

Being just a short walk from North Sydney Station the central CBD is only a quick train ride away, and travellers can remain connected to the office with free wireless Internet throughout the hotel – although unfortunately capped at 30 minutes per day, after which charges apply.

You’ll also find a fitness centre with ‘Fit Food’ options on the hotel’s menus for calorie-conscious travellers, an in-room yoga channel and also conferencing facilities for up to 300 guests, and travellers will feel at home whether visiting on business or in their downtime.

"There's a noticeable gap between supply and demand for quality hotel accommodation and meeting facilities in North Sydney,” observed Rob Percy, Associate Director of the Cromwell Property Group – the company charged with the Northpoint Tower project.

A 44-storey landmark, the tower will primarily house office and retail space although once fully-redeveloped will also be Vibe Hotel’s new home on the northern edge of the site.

Qantas and Virgin Australia Velocity members will also earn three frequent flyer points per dollar spent when booking an eligible, points-earning room rate.
