Safes stolen from restaurants

An angle grinder is believed to have been used to steal safes from two Perth restaurants overnight.

The offenders broke into Crust pizza store on Scarborough Beach Road in Innaloo about 2.30am and stole a safe before leaving in a vehicle.

The group then drove to Flipside Burgers restaurant on Canning Highway in Como just before 3am and stole another safe.

Moments later, the thieves also attempted to steal a safe from a pizza parlour in the same complex of shops after smashing their way through a glass front door. Their third attempt was unsuccessful.

It is understood the thieves stole thousands of dollars in cash.

Police are investigating the incidents.
