Innocent man severely injured in Bunbury pub brawl
A bystander was severely injured following a pub brawl in Bunbury, Western Australia.
A heated altercation between Lewis Steven Ashmead and another man on the dancefloor of Fitzgerald's Irish Bar sent one innocent man to hospital with severe head injuries.
Ashmead made a defensive manoeuvre with a glass, which became a projectile, striking the man.
Ashmead faced the Bunbury Magistrates Court, where he pled guilty to unlawful wounding.
The court mandated counselling and a focus on rehabilitation, rather than a prison sentence.
