Fine Food Australia announces biggest show ever

Returning to the city that is arguably the nation’s food capital, Fine Food Australia’s presence in Melbourne this year is set to be its biggest yet.

Once again welcoming Bulla Family Dairy as Platinum Sponsor and taking over the Melbourne Convention Centre from 12-15 September, Fine Food Australia 2016 will have the biggest show footprint to date in the event’s history, with a veritable smorgasbord of new exhibitors and features to whet the appetite of visitors and exhibitors alike.

Midnight Entremet by Kirsten Tibballs
(Kirsten Tibballs will be on hand at the Bulla Family Dairy Stage - whipping up some of her chocolate treats, such as modern eclairs and cutting edge verrines.)

Sure to brew excitement, the brand new Roaster’s Alley will be a must-attend zone for those with customers who love a good cuppa and can’t get through a day without a good coffee! Dedicated to tea and coffee, the Roaster’s Alley will cover all aspects of leaf and bean from tea master-classes to coffee tastings, and expert seminars discussing trends and industry predictions.

A perfect match to a great coffee is a sweet treat, and the much-loved Bulla Pastry Stage will see a host of acclaimed pastry chefs offering a series of presentations that are too good to refuse. Covering consumer eating trends that are impacting the whole industry and likely to resonate with most in foodservice, Liz Bawden of the Bakes Eleven is just one of the chefs who will present sessions ranging from naked cakes, catering for gluten free and vegan consumers, and even harnessing the growing matcha trend.

The lineup of experts and sessions for the 2016 Talking Food stage already includes Bruce Keebaugh owner of The Big Group talking all things catering, Sharon Flynn owner of The Fermentary talking about fermentation and food as medicine, Laura Neville owner The Wandering Chef and Saxon Joye from Longfresh talking about high pressure processing, and Ken Burgin, CEO Profitable Hospitality talking about how to attract and retain the right staff. A full timetable will also be announced shortly, with industry issues, trends and innovations featuring heavily.

In addition to keeping the industry ahead of national and international trends, performance excellence will again be a key feature at Fine Food Australia. From the excitement of the Great Official Aussie Pie Competition to the nail-biting action at Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat Award National Final, and to the heat of the Bake Skills live challenge, the best of the industry will come together to battle it out for the industry’s most coveted titles once again.

Also honouring some of the hardest working people in the industry, the annual Women in Foodservice Charity Event will take place on Wednesday 14th September, marking the third year of what has become a must-attend breakout event and networking opportunity.

With its biggest offering ever, Fine Food Australia 2016 is a non-negotiable date on the calendar for anyone in the country’s vast and great foodservice industry. As the country’s largest and most relevant food and hospitality event, Fine Food Australia brings the best of the industry together in one place, providing unmatched opportunity to network and do business.
