Fine Food Australia announces finest show features yet

Fine Food Australia is revealing more of the outstanding features at the show, being held at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 12 – 15 September 2016.

Continuing the show’s tradition of providing expert insight, advice and speakers, Fine Food Australia 2016’s line up is considered one of the best yet, with appearances by the best of the industry’s chefs, business leaders and experts.

This year’s Bulla Pastry Stage features demonstrations from critically acclaimed experts with the stage’s features focused on trends and innovations driving the patisserie world. Masterclasses will be led by the likes of Christy Tania, internationally acclaimed pastry and dessert chef and recent judge on MasterChef Australia; Darren Purchese, owner and pastry chef behind Australia’s successful Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio, and Emmanuele Forcone winner of 2015’s Coupe de Monde de la Patisserie.

Sponsored by small business experts MYOB, the successful Talking Food Stage is returning in 2016. Considered a gold mine of insights for visitors and exhibitors alike, the line up of experts at this year’s event is the most impressive yet. Speakers include Bruce Keebaugh of the Big Group, Ken Burgin with his expert advice on hospitality and staff; David Messam of Just the Drop discussing holistic hospitality marketing; while experts such as Dr Emma Holmes discuss how to incorporate healthy lifestyle trends into menus. Familiar business faces will also feature, such as Bao Hoang of Roll’d, Daniel Wilson of Huxtaburger and Jackie Middleton of Earl Canteen leading a discussion on scaling up and expanding into takeaway.

The Women in Foodservice Charity Event is returning for its third year after huge successes in both Sydney and Melbourne in previous years. Facilitated by The Age food critic Gemima Cody, the brunch features a stellar line up: Nahji Chu of misschu, Alla Wolf-Tasker, executive chef and co-owner of the Lake House and owner of Phillippa’s, Phillippa Grogan. The event is in support of two charities: Daylesford Primary School Kitchen Garden Program and Dress for Success Sydney.

Along with this veritable line up of experts, Fine Food Australia favourites such as the Bulla Family Dairy Stand, The Official Great Aussie Pie & Sausage Roll Comp, Australian Culinary Challenge, Bake Skills Australia and Live Bakery will return.

There’s no doubt that the Fine Food Australia 2016 will be an invaluable four days for the foodservice, hospitality and retail industry.
