Two Bros on Blyth brings a new flavour to Altona

Melbourne’s up-and-coming suburb of Altona welcomes the long anticipated opening of its newest eatery and bar, Two Bros on Blyth.

Following their successful Two Bros on Blyth pop up café last year, brothers Michael and Ehab Botros have returned for good and opened a permanent eatery and bar just off Altona's bustling Pier Street.

“Altona is growing rapidly with a diverse crowd of young families, couples and singles who still want to experience Melbourne’s vibrant café culture and night life.  We wanted to open a space where people could have a good time without having to go into the city”, Michael says.

The extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menus feature a mix of Australian fusion dishes such as boozy beetroot and lillet house cured trout, saucy Korean BBQ wagyu burger and whole braised lamb shoulder. The venue also has an impressive drinks list put together by Pete Giannaris (ex The Press ClubGazi and Blue Diamond), including craft beers and the increasingly popular Espresso Martini cocktails.

Michael and Ehab bring 20 years of hospitality and design experience, and have taken inspiration from Altona’s contrasted seaside and industrial landscapes. The lofty, light filled space transforms seamlessly from a daytime venue with its contemporary and industrial features, custom lighting pendants and upstairs bar to create the ultimate relaxed lounge in the evenings.

The newly renovated double storey space also features a take away cafe on the ground level, with a bar and dining room upstairs that will house non ticketed and ticketed events throughout the social calendar including DJ’s and live music. “Music and food is such an important element in our lives it only made sense to reflect that in our venue”, says Michael.

With a seating capacity of 90, the Two Bros on Blyth team invite friends, families and locals to come together and experience the new flavour of Altona.

Two Bros on Blyth is located at 51 Blyth Street, Altona 3018 VIC.
