Seeking something a little out of the ordinary for your next afterwork drinks? Take the elevator down to Cloudland’s hidden underground Cellar Bar on select Friday nights throughout June and July and you’ll find a whole other world awaiting you, a world of decadence, intrigue and delight: Enigma Underground.
Enigma Underground at Cellar Bar is Cloudland’s dazzling new pop-up series, featuring exquisite tapas, live entertainment and best of all, luxury sips from across the globe, starting with Absolut Elyx, the new leader for luxury vodka worldwide.
From 5pm-midnight on June 17 and 24, and July 1 and 8, Cellar Bar at Cloudland will be transformed into a den of mystery, showcasing Absolut’s hand crafted new offering. Channeling Absolut Elyx’s signature raw luxe appeal, the underground Cellar Bar will be decked out in vintage velvet couches, quirky lighting, and copper details – including copper pineapple cocktail cups and eclectic knickknacks.
After-work pleasure seekers who make their way to Cellar Bar at Cloudland on a Friday night will find an endless array of delights awaiting them inside the underground retreat. While magicians, illusionists and dancers will do their best to draw the eyes, the real centre of attention will be the drinks, with tantalizing tipples deliciously demonstrating why Absolut Elyx is the spirited new sip for those in the know.
Drink enthusiasts can sip their way through a handful of cocktails specially created by Absolut Elyx spirits guru and mixologist Ben Davidson, bottled cocktails or just pure unadulterated Absolut Elyx, served on the rocks over hand carved ice. The Enigma Underground pop up will also feature espresso martinis on tap, with Cloudland one of the first venues in Australia to introduce what is set to be the hottest new bar trend for 2016, and liquid nitrogen chilled martini glasses, for the ultimate touch of luxury. If just sampling the spirit isn’t enough, visitors can also take in a Martini Masterclass, and learn how to stir the ultimate Elyx Martini for themselves.
A luxury vodka dedicated to integrity, every drop of Absolut Elyx is crafted from wheat grown on a single estate in Ahus, Sweden. Taking single origin further than it has ever been taken before, every part of the production, from seed to bottle, is meticulously performed within a 25km radius of the original Absolut distillery. A unique manual distilling process using a 1921 copper still to remove any impurities results in a lusciously smooth mouthfeel like liquid silk, the culmination of hundreds of years of Swedish spirit and vodka-making tradition.
