Cops assaulted in brawl outside country pub
TWO officers were assaulted in the early hours of Sunday morning after a brawl broke out near the Commonwealth Hotel on September 27.
Up to five people were involved in an altercation that spilled out into the streets, with several glasses broken during the incident.
Police were called to intervene in the fighting and subsequently arrested several of the people involved.
During the arrest, one male officer was pushed several times by another offender, whilst a female officer was head butted in the altercation.
Five people have been charged with various offences, and will face Roma Magistrates Court on October 27.
