Welcome back to our last week with Gabrielle Saccardo from La Scala Restaurant.
It has been a great six weeks learning about the diversity of Bartercard and gaining a good understanding of how it works.
This week Gabrielle will discuss how he uses Bartercard to improve his lifestyle.
“It’s great to be back with you for the very last time. I have really enjoyed sharing my Bartercard journey with you. I have gone from cash flow dry up to a successful restaurateur and have Bartercard to thank.
But with Bartercard it doesn’t have to all be about business! We have also gained a great lifestyle through Bartercard.
In fact, I can’t remember the last time my wife and I paid cash for a holiday as we pay for all of our holidays on trade. We have been to Cairns nine times, Fiji a number of times, plus Thailand and the Cook Islands.
The most memorable thing we did on Bartercard was to take a week’s holiday to an exclusive location in Phuket. It was a private two storey villa with the most incredible views. The top level of the villa was the main bedroom with an amazing rain shower. When we woke up in the morning and looked out the window we felt like we were lying on the bay. It was beautiful.

At the time we had a loss of someone very special in our family, Bartercard made the process so easy and the week away was incredible for my family. I was so thrilled with Bartercard organising it all for us so I sent them a big bunch of flowers to thank them for looking after us.
The Bartercard website is packed with accommodation package and I recently bought a voucher on the website to the same place for my brother and his fiancé as a gift. If I was dealing in cash I may not have been so generous!

My advice to restaurateurs and all business owners is to look at Bartercard. It really is a way to improve your overall profits and gives you the funds to afford things that you couldn’t normally afford. By being part of the business network of 20,000 members you will make great contacts, learn how to save cash on your day to day expense and you will get more customers which is so important. We all know that a busy restaurant attracts more people and the Bartercard income could be an essential way for you to improve your overall profits.
It really is the best small to medium business tool around. Like I have said before, you can sleep so much knowing that you have Bartercard.
