The Apple of my Rye

Using bakery products to save time and money this Valentine’s Day

Valentine's Day is a special occasion that calls for a memorable and romantic meal. If you're planning your Valentine's Day menu and are looking for cost-effective and time-saving ideas, bread is a versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of dishes. Here are three ways to incorporate bread into your Valentine's Day menu:

1.

On a Charcuterie Board for the ‘Galentine’s’
Valentine’s Day isn’t only for the romantics, plenty of friends will go out to celebrate their friendships and you won’t be short of girl groups celebrating ‘Galentine’s’. Offering a sharing option is perfect for these groups. Your charcuterie board will go a long way if you add a delicious and filling Soft Turkish Pide Loaf – these can also be served with dips, starters & soup.

2.

Brunch for the Busy Couple
For the couple that only has time for brunch, make sure they still have a romantic day. Pancakes are the perfect meal to share as they can be stacked as high or as low as you want. Golden Pancakes are perfect for romantic brunch and will also save you heaps of time in the kitchen. Check out one of our favourite pancake stacks (in pink!) for Valentine’s.

3.

Comfort for the Singles
People dining alone on Valentine’s Day may still want to feel treasured. Offer them a 4.5” Garlic Bread For One. Foil wrapped for your convenience, pull it straight from the carton, to the oven and then to the table of the ever so deserving single. Or add some fillings to make it a showstopper on its own.

Whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day or not, bread will always be a cost-effective way to produce premium offerings for loved-up diners without the need for extra staff or special products.
