RapidClean is pleased to announce the opening of a store in Darwin, Northern Territory. This is a joint venture between Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation and Principal Products.

Trading as RapidClean NT and with the power of the Rapid Group behind it, this partnership has been established to provide employment and career opportunities for Aboriginal people in Darwin and surrounds.

The new company has secured centrally located warehouse facilities in Winnellie and is entering the market with a strong focus on Indigenous employment and providing reliable service and good value to clients.

Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation chairperson, Regina Bennett, said the joint venture was an exciting move for Ironbark.

“This venture is a new industry direction for Ironbark, but we’re excited by the opportunities we see this providing for Aboriginal people in the Top End,” she said.

“There is a real commitment to Indigenous employment within the venture and we’d be keen to see that expand throughout the RapidClean group,” she said.

Partner in the venture from Principal Products, Steve O’Burtill, brings a depth of industry experience in the Northern Territory.

“I have operated in Central Australia for nearly three decades and I am excited to have this partnership with Ironbark. This venture amalgamates my knowledge of the cleaning supply industry and Ironbark’s strong work in the employment sector and I think there’ll be nothing but good come out of this partnership,” said Steve.

Rapid Group General Manager Bruce Lees said,” We are very excited to support Principal Products on this joint venture with Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation. Principal Products are long standing members of RapidClean and the owner Steve O’Burtill has vast industry experience and knowledge. Our Group is wholly Australian owned and has 50 stores throughout Australia but we were previously unrepresented in Darwin. This joint venture now completes our national footprint and enables us to compete with multinational companies to supply national contracts. The Rapid Group will assist the joint venture with purchasing power and technical support to aid with securing new business.”
