Receivers list The Hotel Cairns

RECEIVERS Glenn Miller and John Goggin of BRI Ferrier have listed The Hotel Cairns in North Queensland for sale through CBRE. Billed as one of Cairns’s longest established hotels, the 92-room, four-star property is less than 200m from the Cairns Esplanade.

CBRE Hotels director Wayne Bunz, who is marketing the ­property with Cairns based CBRE agent Danny Betros, said there had been significant interest in the region from southeast Asian hoteliers. Mr Betros said there was potential to raise room rates to improve profitability for the right operator.

Expressions of interest will close on October 22
