Oktoberfest Brisbane is around the corner, and Sinnamon Park’s Wolfgang Kaspar is encouraging locals to embrace next month’s German festival.

Yodellers, German dancers, leg-slappers and cowbell ringers are set to entertain large crowds.

Locals can enter the Miss Oktoberfest Brisbane competition, the Bavarian Strongman competition, or grow the best beard in Brisbane to take out the Beardmeister title.

Mr Kaspar owns K&K Cafe and Restaurant, the only Austrian restaurant in Brisbane.

At Oktoberfest Brisbane, he stands out with his ever-present smile, iconic moustache and, of course, his food. It is a family affair, with wife Sabine and daughters Kimberly and Isabelle all involved with K&K Schnitzel/Burger-Haus (as it’s known at Oktoberfest).

The event is on October 10-12 and 17-19 at the Brisbane Showgrounds. Tickets are available at oktoberfestbrisbane.com.au, or at the gate.

The event raises money for Youngcare.
