Has Kondari Resort been snapped up by Woolworths?

THERE is speculation Hervey Bay's Kondari Resort has been snapped up by the Woolworths pub arm Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group.
Current owners, Adelaide-based Independent pub group, which its website says operates 16 pubs, bottle shops, and employs about 700 staff, would not comment on Monday.
IPG chief financial officer and director Steve Bushaway told the Chronicle he was "not prepared to answer any questions until after settlement".
Woolworths were asked for comment on Monday but did not respond.
The ALH website says the company employs 14,000 people in Australia at more than 300 licensed venues and more than 460 bottle shops.
The Kondari includes a pub and restaurant, accommodation facilities and four Liquor Lads bottle shops that are located across the Bay
It is unclear whether all would be included as part of any deal.
Hervey Bay Chamber of Commerce said it wasn't aware of any sale.
It was reported in 2008 that IPG bought the resort from the Munday Group as part of a $65 million deal for the freehold of Nambour's Club Hotel and Commercial Hotel, and leasehold of Brisbane's Elephant and Wheelbarrow and the Bay's Kondari Resort, along with South Australian pubs the Crown Inn, and Emu and Paradise hotels.
The Chronicle reported in late 2005 that part of the Kondari Resort, including the hotel and bottle shop, were sold for $12.25 million after a consortium paid about $5.5m for the resort in December 2002.
