2026 Top Italian Restaurant Award winners announced

Now celebrating 39 years of success, Gambero Rosso returned to Australia on 13th May with its Top Italian Wines Roadshow. More than 450 industry guests attended, including leading wine trade, hospitality and media.

It was a day of tasting, networking and celebration, with both Italians and Italophiles turning out in force. The event culminated with the Top Italian Restaurant Awards, recognising local businesses serving Italian food and wine.

The ceremony was hosted by Giuseppe Carrus (Editor Vini d’Italia) with special guest Dr Gianluca Rubagotti, Consul General of Italy. There are a record 26 venues featured this year, including 10 new entries.

Winners were presented with a certificate of recognition and will be featured in the Top Italian Restaurants guide on the Gambero Rosso International website, placing them amongst the world’s leading ambassadors of Italian gastronomy. See the full list below.
