Go with the grain

The Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney has recently opened the doors to a new stylish and sophisticated bar called Grain.

The new bar is located just off the hotel’s lobby, and overlooks George and Alfred Streets at Circular Quay. The fit out features an eye-catching central island bar clad in giant curved slabs of sustainable Queensland Blackbutt timber with a frosted glass inner core.

Other highlights include a floating up-lit bottle wall, large grained wooden artisan entry doors, a large central fireplace, and retractable glass windows which open to views of Circular Quay and a beautiful native garden.

Former Low 302 bar manager, David Ramos Hernandez is running the bar, which offers hand-crafted local tap beers by specialist brewers, a largely organic and biodynamic wine list as well as an impressive cocktail list with a contemporary twist.

In addition, Chef Hamish Ingham has worked alongside Hernandez to create a fine bar food menu  to match the cocktail, wine and beer lists.
