GTA appoints Daniel Maloney as GM of Policy, Strategy, and Industry Relations

GTA is delighted to announce the appointment of Daniel Maloney as the Association’s General Manager of Policy, Strategy, and Industry Relations.

GTA Chair Anthony Ball said that Mr Maloney had been appointed to the new role after an extensive search and rigorous competitive selection process.

“Daniel brings over a decade of significant experience in policy development, strategic planning, and industry engagement, and his leadership will be instrumental in advancing our mission, while strengthening our relationships across the sector,” Mr Ball said. 

“We are confident that Daniel’s expertise will help GTA navigate the emerging regulatory challenges we are likely to face in the years ahead.”

Mr Maloney joins GTA having served in the NSW Minns Labor Government as a Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director to the NSW Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building, and Minister for Corrections.

GTA Chief Executive Officer Jinesh Patel said that Daniel was an accomplished Policy and Corporate Affairs professional having previously worked in Director-level positions across Policy, Industry, Stakeholder Engagement, and Media roles at the NSW Minerals Council, Landcom, UrbanGrowth NSW, the NSW Opposition, and the NSW Public Service.

“We warmly welcome Daniel to the GTA team, and look forward to him spearheading substantial initiatives at both the state and national level, that will serve to highlight the many positives of our very exciting industry,” Mr Patel said.
