Sydney’s most exclusive event space opens on the harbour

Sydney’s experience economy is booming - part of a $12 trillion global trend that’s reshaping the way we celebrate weddings, Christmas parties, and launches Australians are embracing the experience economy like never before. A McCrindle survey found that 78% of Australians now prefer to spend on experiences over possessions. Exclusivity and detail are emerging as the new currency of luxury.

That trend is visible in Sydney’s event scene, with boutique weddings, intimate Christmas parties, and private corporate launches in high demand. Tourism Research Australia data confirms NSW and Sydney were Australia’s number one region and city for business events in 2024.

Suite Two, officially opening in October 2025, is the city’s newest entrant in this space - a multi-million dollar penthouse on Jones Bay Wharf with sweeping Harbour Bridge views, pier access for yachts, and interiors inspired by world-class members’ clubs.

The commercial suite is the latest addition to the Dedes Waterfront Group portfolio, which includes Sala Dining , Alpha Dining, Flying Fish and Deckhouse.
“Guests are looking for venues that are not only exclusive but memorable” says Con Dedes, owner of Dedes Waterfront Group. “Hosts appreciate intimacy, design, and detail. No two events are weaved the same.”

Inside, Suite Two is defined by bespoke furnishings, layered lighting schemes, and an art collection valued at more than $250,000. Flexible layouts allow for 40 guests seated on the ground level, 60 upstairs, or 90 for cocktail events.

At Suite Two, food is designed as part of the experience. Head Chef Danny Russo (Russolini Group, Sala Dining) creates menus that range from intimate set dinners to live gourmet stations, where chefs interact directly with guests.

“Sydney diners aren’t just chasing flavours, they’re chasing theatre and story,” says Russo. Internationally, cities like London and New York have mastered the art o hospitality theatre and Sydney is catching up.”

Sommelier Stefano Satta oversees a beverage program designed to be just as flexible, with curated pairings and bespoke cocktails tailored to each celebration.
Opening just in time for end-of-year parties and the summer event season, Suite Two is set to become Sydney’s most exclusive destination for private events.
