Australian producers shine at 2025 delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards
Australia’s food world gathered in style this week for the 20th anniversary of the delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards, with the Opera House’s Bennelong restaurant setting the stage for a night celebrating the country’s top producers.
The awards are a long-standing highlight on the hospitality calendar, bringing together chefs, producers and industry leaders to toast the best in Australian food.
Guests enjoyed a one-off menu featuring produce from this year’s finalists, with the milestone event reflecting on two decades of recognising excellence.
delicious. content director Krysia Bonkowski reminded the audience why the program matters: “For 20 years, the Produce Awards has been the only national awards program to unearth and celebrate Australia’s top primary producers, and every year, we’re reminded how important that is.”
Harvey Norman’s executive chairman Gerry Harvey agreed, saying: “Great food experiences, at home or in restaurants, start with the best produce. Australia is blessed with an abundance of the world’s most exceptional producers.”
This year’s Producer of the Year was awarded to Michael Wohlstadt of The Dairyman Barossa, South Australia – a recognition long in the making.
National Judge Peter Gilmore praised the anniversary setting at Bennelong: “Each year, I am inspired by the quality of produce that we taste, and in awe of the resilience of our Australian farmers.”
