Hemmes' Silver Party raises $3.7M for children's hospital
Justin Hemmes' Vaucluse residence, 'The Hermitage', was the venue for the return of the Silver Party over the weekend, culminating in a significant $3.7 million windfall for the Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation (SCHF). The highly anticipated charity event, back after a three-year hiatus, drew over 300 VIP guests, showcasing the philanthropic spirit of Australia's elite.
The exclusive guest list boasted a constellation of prominent figures, including international supermodel Tyra Banks, acclaimed fashion designer Rebecca Vallance, and Ingham Chickens heiress Tammie Ingham, who attended with her celebrated chef husband, Guillame Brahimi. Karl and Jasmine Stefanovic, along with Paspaley creative director Christine Salter, were also among the distinguished attendees.
This year's impressive fundraising total bolsters the Silver Party's long-standing legacy. Since its inception in 2001, this event has generated over $10 million for the charity.
Kristina Keneally, CEO of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation, emphasised the impact of the funds raised. "The funds raised through this event help us to deliver world-class clinical excellence, the best possible patient experience, and ground-breaking research," Keneally said. "As one of our Signature Events, Silver Party is crucial in helping SCHF make a transformative impact on kids’ health, changing the future for sick kids and their families."
