Adelaide’s Belair Hotel saved from kitchen fire by volunteer firefighters
A kitchen fire that threatened to engulf the Belair Hotel in Blackwood was put out by 20 volunteer firefighters on Monday night.
Volunteer Country Fire Service crews rushed to put out the fire, which was sparked by an electrical fault in a drier, saving the pub from further damage.
There were no injuries and the hotel only suffered a loss of stock and damage to the kitchen.
Despite a damage bill of around $100,000, the pub has continued to stay open for business but with a limited lunch menu.
