Clean eating here to stay

Despite promising news that the two founders of Instagram, Kevin Systrom and Mike Kriege, have quit, the demise of the photo sharing platform is not on the horizon.

Why the Insta hate? Because it has fostered a new breed of simpletons called influencers who now have unfettered access to the whole planet to communicate their completely un-researched views on eating habits.

These influencers breed in special online bubbles, or echo chambers, before unleashing a tsunami of heavily filtered nonsense on the benefits of eliminating dirt from their food.

This isn’t the sort of dirt than can washed off under some cold water, this is a special kind of dirt that needs to be eradicated through ‘clean eating’.

Again not about washing your hands. This clean eating involves eliminating global evils such as gluten. These call to actions, often accompanied by a yoga pose, are propelling large numbers of consumers to preface everything they eat with the word ‘organic’ and only drink kombucha.

With Instagram now under the total control of Mark Zuckerberg, a man who believes in clean dressing by eliminating all forms of clothing that aren’t grey tshirts, this trend is not set to go away anytime soon.
