Winners of NSW 2018 Awards for Excellence announced

The winners of the 2018 New South Wales Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Awards for Excellence have been announced at a gala dinner held at Luna Park in Sydney. 

The winners across this year’s major categories included:

 

CATERER OF YEAR

Sydney Winner: ICC, Sydney;

Regional NSW Winner: Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, Lovedale.

 

CAFÉ OF THE YEAR

Sydney Winner: Café Patina, Wahroonga;

Regional NSW Winner: Burrawang General Store, Burrawang.

 

RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR

Sydney Winner: Tetsuya’s, Sydney;

Regional Winner: Circa 1876, Pokolbin.

 

RESTAURATEUR OF THE YEAR AWARD

Nick Hildebrand and Brent Savage from Bentley, Cirrus, Yellow, Monopole

 

Eric Wong was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievers Award for his contribution to the NSW restaurant industry, while Abhi Mahadevan scooped the Young Achiever Award.

“On behalf of the Association, I’d like to congratulate all the individuals and businesses who have received Awards for their exceptional contribution to the NSW hospitality sector,” said Restaurant & Catering Australia CEO Juliana Payne.

“The quality of all entries to this year’s Awards for Excellence was outstanding and we are disappointed that we can’t acknowledge more businesses for the feats of culinary excellence that they have displayed. 

“It’s fantastic to see the enormous passion of all business-owners as well as their staff whose daily hard work and dedication goes into producing an unforgettable culinary experience.”
