Gold Coast’s Balthazar Wine & Dining achieves 3 Glass Rating

Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise sommelier David Stevens-Castro has taken Balthazar Wine & Dining from a 2 Glass Rating to a 3 Glass Rating in less than 24 months of the venue being open.

Judges from the Australia Wine List of the Year Awards said of Balthazar Wine & Dining’s submission that Stevens-Castro's talent and passion for wine are evident.

“There is great diversity in the wines-by-the-glass with top wines at accessible prices,” they stated. “Premium wines, such as Keller Riesling and Dry River Gewürztraminer, are served via Coravin. There's an extensive listing of vintage and non-vintage Champagne, as well as local and international bubblies. And under each varietal category is a broad range of styles and origins. It’s a list for true wine lovers, presenting wines of interest at all price points.”
