A petite luxury hotel for South Yarra

United Places Botanic Gardens will be opening in South Yarra in June, featuring award winning chef Scott Pickett.

It will be a petite luxury hotel sitting on the fringe of the Melbourne Botanic Gardens, putting it right in the centre of South Yarra.

United Places will provide 12 suite-accommodation options designed in a way that combines the hotel and apartment concepts in one.

Pickett will run the show at the downstairs restaurant Matilda where guests will have priority seating. He will be curating daily breakfast accompaniments.

The hotel will span three floors.

There will be nine one-bedroom suites and three two-bedroom suites offering guests views overlooking the city’s skyline. The suites will have large sunken bathtubs alo9ng with opulent interiors featuring velvet drapes and hardwood floors. Each room will have a well-equipped kitchen and recessed terrace. 

And the rooms will not only be spacious and luxurious.

They will also offer all the amenities anyone could ever desire, and that includes a personalised butler service. The butler will be there welcoming guests to the property. And there will be a service team on hand to help organise any requirements for the guests’ stay.

Carr Design has created the space, crafting a building that’s gender neutral in its interiors that are opulent interiors with velvet drapes and hardwood floors. And each room will have a well-equipped kitchen and recessed terrace. 

“We wanted to create a home for guests, where they could revel in the luxury of Melbourne’s best design, food and location from the privacy of their own suite,” owner Darren Rubenstein told delicious.

“The element that sets a great hotel apart from one that is ‘just fine’ is the level of guest care,” General Manager Marcus Pelham told delicious. “From the moment a United Places guest arrives, their every need is anticipated. Whether they require theatre tickets, a table at a special restaurant or certain provisions in their kitchen, our staff are on call to ensure it happens.”
