Wild Sage gets a twin

Cammeray eatery Wild Sage is now doubling up.

The owners are setting up another venue with the same name in Barangaroo.

Specifically, it will be located at Exchange Place, 3 Sussex Street, Barangaroo.

It will be open from 7am till 11pm seven days a week.

The director and head chef at both venues is Rasel Rasheduzzama who has experience working in high end 500 seat restaurants.

The atmosphere at Barangaroo will be similar to what’s on offer at Cammeray but it will also be distinct.

There are plans for a new dinner menu and with those sorts of hours, it will be open for everything from afternoon coffees to after dinner drinks.

It has a wine list with 60 choices, not to mention the 20 cocktails on offer.

There is also a big selection of beers and spirits.

As for the coffee, it will be a house blend.

The menu will have a wide variety of choices starting with crunchy corn flake-covered brioche French toast for breakfast.

For lunch, the offerings include favourites such as the braised beef sandwich and the glazed pork belly lollypop with zucchini ribbon and sesame seeds. There is also the whipped mascarpone, the maple syrup and crushed pistachios, the braised beef sandwich with BBQ relish, along with cheddar cheese, red cabbage and radish. And then there’s the glazed pork belly lolly pop with zucchini ribbon, sesame seeds, shallots and glaze.

Wild Sage Barangaroo is pitched at the young professionals market in the growing Barangaroo precinct

So that’s where the evening menu comes into play with its offerings of share plates, perfect for after-work groups.

The building itself is designed by by Paul Papadopoulos of DS17.

He has filled it with earthy tones and natural materials, all with the aim of creating a contemporary atmosphere that is also warm and comforting.

The design is totally sustainable.
