The program for Good Food Month

Good Food Month is coming to Sydney in October and there’s lots planned.

The 31-day program features more than 180 events this year stretched over 31 tasty days.

Of course, there are the ever-popular Night Noodle Markets,

But there’s also some ambitious new events happening.

One is the California's Palm Springs at Hyde Park. Designed by acclaimed interior design firm Caroline Beresford Design, the plan is to turn Hyde Park into a festival hub with talks and parties starting with an opening night party overseen by The Rockpool Group on October 5.

South African chef Duncan Welgemoed of South Australia's Africola will be there two days later with an evening of drinks, snacks and beats.

Neil Perry and Marco Pierre White will be in the hub kitchen preparing a three-course dinner emceed by Jill Dupleix on October 8.

For those into Mexican food, Sydney’s Dan Hong from Mr Wong and Mitch Orr from ACME will be teaming up on October 14 to offer street food they sampled on a recent trip to the country. There will also be dishes inspired by Los Angeles and a Noma pop-up.

Lazy Sunday brunches are planned for October 8, 15 and 22. And guests will include Matt Stone and Jo Barrett of Oakridge Wines.

And for the party animals, there’s Not Another Manic planned for October 16 and 17.

It’s a Lycra-clad workout/dance party with Retrosweat's Shannon Dooley.

Also, Good Food Month guests will have the chance to eat fancy-pants food at more-affordable-than-usual prices at Aria and Jade Temple.

It’s all part of the Let’s Do Lunch making a return.

There are also plans for a sushi and whiskey party at Sokyo and a progressive feast, made up of six courses.

It will be travelling between Ormeggio at the Spit, LuMi Bar and Dining, and Aqua Dining.
