New hotel near Sydney Airport
The Mantra Group will manage a new hotel near Sydney Airport’s domestic terminals.
The 136-room hotel is perfect for the short stay market.
For Sydney Airport Corporation, it will help service the 42 million passengers travelling through the airport each year.
The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant and a 24-hour reception.
The eight-storey building, the newest hotel at Sydney Airport, will be Sydney’s third on-airport hotel.
Sydney Airport developed the new hotel which will complement other on-airport hotels such as the Ibis Sydney Airport at the domestic terminal and Rydges Sydney Airport hotel near the international airport on Arrival Court.
Outgoing Sydney Airport CEO Kerrie Mather said the new hotel would create a better customer experience for airport visitors.
“We’re delighted to celebrate the opening of this fantastic hotel, providing even more value and choice for our customers – whether they want a convenient place to stay close to the airport or an easy commute to the CBD,” said Ms Mather who has announced her retirement from Sydney Airport after 15 years in charge.
“Mantra Hotel at Sydney Airport helps meet the need for additional hotel accommodation as we continue to experience strong passenger growth.”
She said many of the Mantra Hotel at Sydney Airport’s rooms would overlook Sydney Airport’s runways
Mantra Group Chief Executive Officer Bob East said the new hotel would provide the much needed capacity to support the growing aviation and tourism sectors in the Sydney basin.

Other hotels have been developed near the airport. The Mercure Sydney International Airport at Wolli Creek is operated by Accor and Mascot has the Meriton Serviced Apartments Sydney Airport.
