Pullman Hotel opens its doors

Australia’s latest hotel is the Pullman Sydney Airport.

It’s the 15th Pullman to open in Australia, all part of the AccorHotels rapidly expanding network in the Asia Pacific region.

The 229-room, 12 floor hotel is located on O’Riordan Street, Mascot. That puts it just 600 metres from Sydney’s domestic airport terminal and three kilometres from the International Airport. It caters for up to 280 guests.

Designed by the award-winning WMK Architecture and SODA (Thailand) Architecture + Interiors who have designed a lot of Australian and international hotels, the hotel that’s been dubbed “Sydney’s newest business playground” is expected to draw international and domestic business and leisure travellers because of its proximity to the airport.

Guests at the hotel can find the Mobius Bar and Grill, an open plan kitchen and restaurant that connects with the lobby.

Or they can check out the Executive Club Lounge where they can plug in and work remotely,

The Executive Club Lounge is specifically designed for people in transit, offering shower facilities along with TVs projecting flight arrival and departure information.

There’s a 24-hour gym overlooking a kitchen garden. The large venue also has three meeting and conference rooms.

Business travellers will also have access to a private boardroom with video conferencing which can be reserved for full scale presentations. All event spaces are equipped with AV.

Pullman Sydney Airport General Manager Bernie Boller said the hotel planned to be a special place for business and travel guests.

“Since first announcing the hotel 18 months ago, we are delighted to finally open our doors and welcome the hotel’s first guests,’’ Boller told Travel Daily.

“Our ambition is to be known as a welcoming sanctuary for business and leisure guests, away from the hustle and bustle of the airport, a space where travellers can be both productive and relaxed, without being too far from the convenience of a major international transport hub.”
