Hawthorn's Santoni opens for breakfast this saturday!
Usually only open for lunch and dinner, Santoni will be launching its long anticipated breakfast menu this Saturday 13 February.
Breakfast will be available everyday from 8am until 3pm, with coffee from Code Black. “The menu is Italian-inspired with a strong Melbourne influence. We’ve catered for everyone, even those that want a cheeky Mick Adams burger,“ says co- owner Michael Koutroulis who also co-owns Mick Adams Burger Bar in Oakleigh.
Menu items include Melbourne-style dishes with an Italian influence such as the crumbed green tomatoes, Ortiz anchovies, buffalo mozzarella, pine nuts, olive pesto and fried egg. It’s never to early for the breakfast pizza complete with baby spinach, caramelized onion, mozzarella, pepper and egg yolk.
Expanding on its current lunch and dinner offering, the idea to open for breakfast was driven by customer demand. “We had so many people saying what a shame it was that we didn’t do breakfast, so we decided to give in to the requests and open up for breakfast in the New Year,” says Koutroulis.
Santoni’s 70-seater rooftop with sweeping views of Glenferrie Road and the city skyline will also be available to breakfast diners. “It’s the best set up. You can kick back and relax while we take care of the food. We’ve had people spend whole afternoons soaking up the sun, drinking mimosas and eating pizza,” says Koutroulis.
Santoni is located at 634 Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn, Victoria 3122, a stone’s throw away from Hawthorn station and is open daily from 8am until 11pm. Breakfast will be served from 8am until 2pm.
