Baristas wanted for Townsville cafe
TOWNSVILLE cafe Cuisine on Bowen is on the hunt for a new barista after expanding its business.
Cuisine on the Go owner and director Nancy Williams has recently grown her catering business to include a cafe on Bowen Rd, resulting in new job opportunities.
Ms Williams said while there was a large employee base in the city to choose from, it was often difficult to match the right person with the right position.
She said job seekers needed to ensure their resume and cover letter was suited to the job they were applying for.
“We had somebody the other day with a heavy lifting job and he had applied for wait staff,” she said.
“Be aware of what you have written in a resume, be aware of the job you are looking to do and identify transferable skills.
“Come with an attitude that you want this job, not that you are owed the job.”
Ms Williams said her business had already received resumes from several promising job seekers.
