Cheese Burger

Serves: 1 | Prep Time: 12 mins | Cook Time: 6 mins


  • 220g 85 cl angus beef mince
  • 1 slice Anchor Hi-Melt Burger Slices
  • 1 x 90g brioche bun
  • 40 g tomato relish
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 3 slices of tomato
  • flaked salt and black pepper, for seasoning

    Burger garnish
  • 40 mL chipotle mayo
  • 2 cos lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices of pickle

Anchor Hi-Melt Burger Slices


  1. Roll the beef mince into a round ball and flatten to 3 cm between two sheets of baking paper.
  2. Season and sear patty until golden brown on pre-heated grill, flip after 2-3 minutes.
  3. Cook until 95 per cent done, place Anchor Burger Cheese on top of the patty. Cover with a stainless- steel lid for approximately 1-2 minutes to fully melt the cheese.
  4. Lightly toast brioche bun and drizzle one side with tomato relish, another side with Dijon mustard.
  5. Lightly toast brioche bun and drizzle both sides with chipotle mayo.
  6. Place the patty on the brioche bun, top with cos lettuce, pickles, tomato slices, then place the brioche bun lid on top and serve.
