Marco Pierre White announces exclusive Gold Coast culinary residency in 2025

Renowned chef Marco Pierre White is set to return to Australia for an exclusive three-day culinary residency at HOTA, Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast in June 2025, two years after his successful debut Australian tour.

White is widely known as the 'godfather of modern cooking' and made history as the first British and youngest chef to earn three Michelin stars at age 33. His return to HOTA follows his sold-out dinner at the venue's Palette Restaurant during his 2023 'Out of the Kitchen' theatre tour.

"I'm thrilled to be returning to HOTA for this exclusive Australian residency," White said. "There's something truly special about the Gold Coast – the energy, the people, the passion for food. Palette is a restaurant that understands the artistry of cuisine and experience. These events are about more than just cooking, they're about sharing stories, experiences and creating unforgettable moments together."

The residency will feature five exclusive events beginning June 5 with a live Q&A covering White's journey from humble beginnings to classical training with Albert and Michel Roux at Le Gavroche. On June 6, an outdoor masterclass will provide further insights into his four-decade leadership of the UK restaurant scene.

Dining experiences include an exclusive five-course feast for just 30 guests atop the Gallery, as well as the return of the popular Palette x Marco Pierre White dinner combining a Q&A with a bespoke menu showcasing regional produce.

The residency concludes June 7 with a dinner under the stars featuring White alongside celebrated regional chefs Tim Stewart (The North Room), Koki Anekawa (Anekawa), pastry chef Melanie Day, and HOTA's Dayan Hartill-Law. Each chef will present signature dishes using locally sourced ingredients paired with premium wines.

More information and tickets are available through HOTA's website.
