Holiday Inn Darling Harbour to get a Furama rebrand
The Holiday Inn Darling Harbour will soon be rebranded Furama Darling Harbour.
The Singapore-based Furama Hotels International (FHI) will make the move on July 1, 2024, as it makes its first venture branded into the Australian market, having owned the property for over 20 years.
The company plans to begin a series of upgrades in early 2025, including the rejuvenation of the lobby and restaurant spaces. It will also introduce new technology such as mobile check-in/out, mobile TV casting, and digital key access.
Upgrades are designed to elevate the guest experience.
The rebrand comes as the Haymarket area undergoes a $44 million revitalisation and a $3 billion Tech Central Innovation hub is also created in the area.
The Haymarket rebuild is expected to draw business and leisure travellers to the area.
“We are very excited to introduce the Furama brand to Australia for the first time,” said Furama Darling Harbour Hotel Manager, Melvin Lim.
“As our inaugural address under our flagship four-star brand, the Furama Darling Harbour signals an exciting new chapter of expansion for the group in this region, as we look to bring our guests a fresh perspective and a renewed commitment in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.”
FHI oversees a large portfolio comprising more than 40 hotels, villas, and resorts, totalling over 7,500 rooms throughout the Asia Pacific region.
The rebrand reflects FHI's ambitious growth aspirations and reinforces its mission to establish itself as a premier provider of hospitality services in pivotal global markets.
