Warrior Restaurant & Bar pays tribute to Steve Irwin and the youngest member of the Irwin family - Grace

A new restaurant at Australia Zoo’s luxe Crocodile Hunter Lodge will be named after Bindi Irwin’s daughter.

The Warrior Restaurant & Bar, named after Grace Warrior will be open for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Irwin, 23, gave birth to Grace in March 2021 and sees the restaurant as a fitting tribute to her daughter and late father, Steve.

"Warrior Restaurant & Bar opens tomorrow night @crocodilehunterlodge," Irwin wrote on Instagram. "We look forward to welcoming you for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can even book your own private dining room. Remember to be on the lookout for koalas, kangaroos and emus during your meal."

In an interview with PEOPLE, Irwin said, "Warrior is the perfect name for the lodge's restaurant. Dad coined the phrase 'Wildlife Warrior,' and it's also our beautiful daughter's middle name. It's a wonderful way of paying tribute to two of the people I love the most."

The restaurant will feature a seasonal menu and include dishes such as beef tartare, beetroot-cured kingfish and a rivermint-crusted Tasmanian lamb.

An outside dining area will enable diners to connect with nature.

"Each guest receives entry to Australia Zoo as a part of their stay, as well as breakfast from Warrior Restaurant," Robert Irwin said.

The lodge also features an infinity pool that overlooks the animal habitat.

The Irwin family, including Bindi’s husband continue to pay homage to Steve.

"Steve had a business plan mapped out for Australia Zoo, which included accommodation where guests could experience our beautiful wildlife," Terri, Irwin said.

"During the construction of the Lodge, we used a lot of recycled materials, including timber from Australia Zoo's Crocodile Environmental Park that Steve built. The Environmental Park is where Steve and I first met in 1991!".
