Sydney restaurant creates Squid Game menu

There’s a new fad hitting the streets of Sydney and it is based on Netflix’s Squid Game.

The popular television show has inspiredone Sydney eatery to create a Squid Game menu.

Korean-owned burger restaurant Burger Patchin Chatswood created a menu based on the hit show, which also gives customers the opportunity to participate in Squid Game themed games.

The Korean drama which premiered in September has become one of Netflix’s top shows.

Its premise sees 456 participants take part in deadly children’s games for a chance to escape severe debt.

The games at Burger Patch aren’t dangerous or deadly, but customers can play the traditional Korean children’s game of Red Light Green Light and even games of odds or evens with the staff.

The menu boasts a Player 067 Maxim Coffee Thickshake and a Player 001 Korean Lunchbox Loaded Fries which features Burger Patch’s famous seasoned fries, sauteed kimchi and fried egg topped with truffle mayo and seaweed packed into a lunchbox.

Fans of the show are flocking to the eatery after seeing videos on TikTok.

“When I saw their activation, I just had to go,” said fan Emma Marques.

Squid Game has already reached over 111 million viewers.

Over the weekend, a giant ‘Red Light, Green Light inflatable doll was seen floating over Sydney for Halloween.
