Wholegreen Bakery to open gluten-free cafe in Sydney CBD

Waverley's Wholegreen Bakery is set to open a second gluten-free cafe in the Sydney CBD.

Due to open on Clarence Street early next month, the cafe will be 100 percent gluten-free.

It will also be bigger than its sister venue in Waverley, with room for 60 diners.

The café will bake all of its bread and pastries each morning with some dairy-free, vegan and sugar-free options on the menu. Lunch items include spinach and feta pasties, sausage rolls, toasties and fresh rolls, and the venue is also licensed with some beers and wines available.

Cherie Lyden launched the gluten free bakery concept when her daughter was diagnosed as coeliac, and has been operating the wholesale side of the business for six years and the Waverley cafe for four.
