Course description and aims

The Accelerated Diploma of Hospitality Management course is aimed at people who have been working at supervisory level within various sectors of the hospitality industry seeking to formalise their knowledge and skills.

Program delivery is via a combination of face-to-face workshops, self-directed learning and recognition of skills and knowledge gained through previous studies, the workplace and life experience. 


Subjects will be drawn from the following areas:

  • Front Office and Housekeeping 
  • Commercial Cookery and Catering
  • Marketing and Public Relations
  • Events
  • Finance
  • Food and Beverage
  • Human Resources

     

Articulation

When you finish this course you will be eligible to do the SIT60313 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management qualification. You may also be eligible to enrol in higher education courses. 


Expected Outcomes

This qualification reflects the role of highly skilled senior operators who use a broad range of hospitality skills combined with managerial skills and sound knowledge of industry to coordinate hospitality operations. They operate independently, have responsibility for others and make a range of operational business decisions. Possible career outcomes include banquet or function manager, bar manager, café manager, chef de cuisine, chef patissier, executive housekeeper, front office manager,  restaurant manager, or sous chef

The Accelerated Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management course is aimed at people who have been working at management level within various sectors of the hospitality industry who are seeking to formalise their knowledge and skills.
