Hotel burglary linked to fire
UPDATE: Police believe a fire at a West Perth apartment building early this morning was linked to an earlier burglary at a nearby hotel.
Emergency services were called to extinguish several vehicles alight in the basement of the building in Parliament Place around 3.30am.
The fire started after a stolen car was set alight in the basement. Police believe the car was used in a burglary at a West Perth hotel around 1.15pm.
The fire caused an estimated $250,000 damage.
A scene guard has been put in place and this morning Arson Squad will attend and continue the investigation.
