Townsville Breakwater site for sale again

Townsville's trophy development site the Townsville Breakwater is back on the property market, two years after the property's owner went into receivership.

Gold Coast developer Resort Corp had planned to build a $500 million project on the troubled site, including luxury apartments and a waterfront restaurant.

Resort Corp's receivers have launched an international campaign to sell the site.

The area has been vacant for more than two decades, despite several attempts by developers to build there.
