Oaks on William opens early

The brand new Oaks on William in Melbourne has confirmed it will open its doors to travellers on 15 July 2013 – a month earlier than first expected.

Located at 350 William Street – and sharing facilities with the striking residential development that is Art on the Park – the property’s prime city address puts it in close proximity to some of Melbourne’s most popular attractions including the Crown Casino and Melbourne Aquarium, a profusion of high street, outlet and designer shopping hot spots, the Melbourne Convention Centre and iconic sporting arenas such as Etihad Stadium and Rod Laver arena.

Oaks on William also offers vistas over the lawns of Flagstaff Gardens, one of Melbourne’s most historic landmarks that is frequented by city-goers looking for a tranquil change of pace.

General manager of Sales for Oaks Hotels & Resorts, Daniel Csortan, said Oaks on William offered both business and leisure travellers a fresh accommodation choice in Melbourne.

“The finishing touches are being added to the property over the next month and we are confident its innovative design, thoughtful appointments and quality facilities will see a wide range of travellers choose Oaks on William for short and longer stays. A new development of this caliber is a welcomed addition to the city’s collection of typically older properties.

“We can now offer Australian and international travellers alike the choice of four central Melbourne properties – with Oaks on Lonsdale, Oaks on Collins and Oaks on Market all within easy walking distance of each other and boasting their own unique characteristics.”

The 4.5 star Oaks on William will offer the choice of superbly appointed studio, studio park and studio park deluxe apartments – all suitably adorned with chic appointments, full kitchens, air-conditioning, wi-fi access and private balconies – some boasting views over the skyline, city laneways and Flagstaff Gardens.

A mezzanine café and lounge bar will provide guests with a modern yet relaxed environment to unwind or meet for business or pleasure. The onsite meeting rooms and secretarial services are also available for use, as is the fully equipped gymnasium and onsite car-parking, while the hotel lobby features a series of bespoke artworks by a handful of renowned Australian artists and designers – providing a sophisticated focal point for guests to admire.

Oaks on William is just a stone’s throw to a variety of public transport services, including the free City Circle tramline and train line, adding an extra element of convenience for guests.
