Colin Fassnidge teams up with Nelly Robinson to launch new chef series

Australia’s first true gastropub is launching Winston and Mates, an exciting chef-led dinner series bringing big names and bold flavours to the table.

Kicking off on Thursday, 12 June at The Nag’s Head Hotel in Glebe, Executive Chef, Nelly Robinson (NEL Restaurant), is teaming up with two-hatted chef and TV personality, Colin Fassnidge (Four in Hand Hotel, 4Fourteen, and My Kitchen Rules) for a one-off eight-course dinner priced at $120 per person. Dishes alternate between the two chefs, showcasing their individual styles while paying homage to the classics that made their restaurants iconic. Highlights include Nelly’s prawn tart with caviar in a charcoal tartlet and Colin's pig ear schnitzel with green sauce - a signature nod to his nose-to-tail cooking.

This debut event marks the first in a six-part series, pairing Nelly Robinson with a lineup of renowned chefs who’ve helped shape modern Australian dining. With each duo sharing culinary talent and a love of premium produce, each dinner will serve up inventive dishes, clever twists, and a few surprises.

“It’s about having fun with the food, but still executing at the highest level,” says Robinson. “There are no egos here. Just mates in the kitchen.”
Guests can look forward to collaborations with Justin North (24th July), Julian Cincotta (28th August), Shaun Christie-David (11th September), Damian Brown (date TBA), and Manu Feildel (date TBA).
