Hyatt House continues to expand Australian footprint
Hyatt continues to expand its Australian footprint, with the first Hyatt House Hotel set to open in 2025.
The new addition is part of an under-construction luxury Melbourne development and part of Holder East’s Oasis Residences.
The South Melbourne building designed by Hayball will be 19 storeys tall and have 158 residential apartments as well as the hotel’s 97 serviced apartments.
The site builder is Roberts Co.
Hyatt House South Melbourne will feature den, studio and one-bedroom suites with residential facilities including refrigerator, stovetop and kitchen islands, and living rooms and plush beds.
The Hyatt House brand can be found in more than 130 locations.
It “delivers home-like amenities, purposeful service and contemporary spaces, including complementary home-cooked breakfast for guests, a creatively curated menu at H Bar, and indoor and outdoor communal spaces,” a spokesperson said.
“The brand brings all the comforts of home to guests who don’t just want to stay somewhere, but to live somewhere, even if only for two nights,” Asia-Pacific Hyatt Group president David Udell said.
“That means more space for living and working, delivered with flexibility, comfort and thoughtful touches.”
Oasis residents will be able to access the Hyatt House all day lounge, with the venue to also offer a gym and communal spaces for “working, socialising or relaxing”.
“Hyatt House South Melbourne will be a vibrant addition to the South Melbourne precinct,” Holder East chief operation officer C.J. Wu said.
Residences is expected to be built by August, 2024.
