Floating beach club to bring a European coastal getaway to the Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Marina will be home to a new floating beach club named La Luna.

Australia’s first floating luxury beach club and restaurant is being built on pontoons by the clever restaurateurs at the Gennari Group, with the project to be completed by the end of summer.

Designed by House of August and Space Cubed, ‘La Luna’ will channel the coastal atmosphere of Mykonos, St Tropez and Tulum.

The food will be a mix of Mediterranean and Asian fusion delights brought to patron by iconic Queensland restaurant Maggie Choo.

The club offers the option to wine and dine inside the restaurant, in a private cabana, by the pool or on a day bed, all while the guests imagine they are enjoying a coastal holiday.

The restaurant is set to open in January 2022.

No exact date has been set for the opening of the beach club, but it is likely to be early next year.
