WAMC opens Melbourne chapter

The World Association of Master Chefs has launched the first official chapter in Melbourne, joining the organisation’s 60 chapters worldwide and marking the first in the Pacific region.

Melbourne was chosen due to its “diverse culture and hospitality environment” and “amazing local foods and wines”.

“The opening of this office will be marked with the re-launch of our updated International Internship Program which means Junior Chefs and Students of Hospitality can take advantage of global experiences in other countries working with elite chefs,” said Gaven Ferguson, president of the Association.

“The great advantage to this new program is that it is fully funded for the applicant. With an office now in Australia we anticipate the opportunity for young aspiring chefs to be extensive and we look forward to working with the industry and the Australian people.”
