Wollongong small bar scene welcomes newcomer Uncle Bok’s
Moominn owners Barbora Sterbova and Arron Choi are opening a new restaurant and bar called Uncle Bok's on lower Crown Street in early December.
Uncle Bok’s is a little larger than Moominn and likely to include live music. Sterbova said the bar and restaurant will have a focus on European beer, wine and cocktails which will be matched to European and Asian inspired dishes.
The couple opened Moominn in mid-2017 after returning to Wollongong following careers in the corporate world.
Speaking to The Illawarra Mercury, Sterbova said they had always wanted to be something that is a bit different.
“We wanted to create something cosy where people can just come chill and relax,” she said.
“We are going for delicious affordable food. It will still be a casual dining experience.”
